Go to Myspace.com and register! then follow the screen instructions
Create an 'artists' account.
If you want to upload songs of your own, you need to create an artists account. When signing up you need to be careful because the artists sign up is different to a regular account. To sign up as an artist, you need to go to 'music' in the top menu, and then a second menu will appear just below the blue one, which should be red, and in this menu there should be 'artist sign up'. Go here to create an artists account. After signing up, go to edit profile and then to 'manage songs' to upload your tunes.

on the 'edit profile' tab, click ' songs ' there should be a box that says ' enable song to automatically start ' or something like that. should fix it. (=

You don't have to pay for anything on MySpace. However, you have to be part of a real band, or a real musician, with your own music, to get a music page that will not be deleted. Best bet is to just find the song you want, and add it to your profile, or use the background music code to link a song to your myspace profile page.

but first you have to have the song in your documents not in your itunes.
to do that you open my documents and itunes at the same time then drag the song you want into a folder or something in your documents.
then when you press browse to upload the song it will be there.

first off, get the music file on your computer in standard mp3 format. (.mp3, .wav, etc...) then go here and upload your music file -%26gt; http://www.putfile.com - you may need to register, but its worth it if you want your song on bad enough, it only takes a second and its free.

Now go back to putfile, find your song, find the URL. The URL putfile provides IS NOT the correct one unless it has .mp3 at the end. Look for the URL in the links given to you by putfile and copy the http://URL.com/Music.mp3. Make sure it ends in .mp3 or .wav otherwise it wont work, and only copy from http:// to .mp3 otherwise it wont work (you asked for step by step lol)

The No part first,
You can't download songs to my space that doesn't
have it's own host.
Meaning unless your PC runs it's own hosting site,
every time someone logs onto your page, it would
allow them to play music (without licensing it) to other listeners
from your PC ..
They have allowed artist who owns there own songs
(rights and licenses)
to download there songs(%26amp; even then they have a host)
The Yes part is if you have a host, like, hypster (it's free)
you can play your songs from your pc, even then, you
have to upload the songs you want your listeners to hear
to a 'host.'
You would have to log on to it to change your
listening settings, playlist orders, or to add/remove songs.
Host programs are good because, it takes the work and stress of people uploading to Your computer in order to listen to something.
When you allow people do that, you have to increase your band-width, to allow other people's computers, to connect with yours.

Yes. Because your player no matter where its at, it only plays whats being PROVIDED from the artist page. It's the source it uses. So when it's deleted, your song is automatically deleted, because the song does not exist anymore.

I think this is really hard. I wanted to do it but then when i looked on myspace how to do it - there was a big speal about respecting the copyright of musicians and not putting people's stuff on without their permission.
Maybe you should encourage the band to put themselves on Myspace. Point out all the free publicity they will get and offer to run their space for them.

It's a bug. It's been happening on certain people's profiles, %26amp; there isn't a way to fix it yourself. I'm sure the Myspace tech group is aware of the problem.

On Myspace Music, sometimes when you upload a song (even original songs that are NOT copyrighted, a message appears saying "File Blocked! Copyright Asserted." My question is does MySpace scan the filename to determine whether or not a song is copyrighted? How do they recognize (or attempt to recognize) copyrighted material vs. non-copyrighted material?
Also, once one of these songs becomes designated as "Copyrighted," they become impossible to delete. Is there any way to delete them once they're uplaoded and tagged as copyrighted?
Years ago they would simply look for filenames. Now it's gotten a LOT more sophisticated. They have a database of copyrighted songs. What is in this database is an audio fingerprint of the song. When you upload a music file it analyzes the uploaded song and compares it to their fingerprint database. It's NOT 100% accurate but it does provide a much better filter than filename matching or worse not allowing any music or shutting down.
As for deleting the files you should be able to delete them as with all the rest if not then you may have to contact them or start a new profile.

Well, if you google songs, you can find them anywhere. If it is from a film, try smashits.com or myindiaonline.com. To download songs, try bollyfm.net or bollysongs.com. Also, if you buy the key for Total Recorder...I believe it is 12 US dollars...you can reord the song from the site. The quality is really goood. In the settings, there is a setting you click to remove silent moments or sumthin like that...check that, and your recording will be awesome. Hope this helps!

You go to 'edit profile' and click 'song and video' and hit 'delete song' then you go to a site like http://www.projectplaylist.com and you can add up to 75 songs (yeah alot more than 4 songs) and you copy the html code they give you (they explain it out more) and go to edit profile and paste it in your music section

I don't think there is a way to do that. I know that artists can make a myspace and put their mp3s on there, but I'm pretty sure it's not allowed for other people to make artist profiles and post someone else's songs on them.

OK, so first, use projectplaylist.com to find the songs you want to put onto the mp3 player (limit it to 10 or under--any more will cause your page to be a pain to load for everybody). Put the URLs into a word document with their titles to help you later.
Once you have the urls of your songs, go to:

definatly projectplaylist.com! They have almost every song you can think of and if you can't find it their is a way to download it onto their site yourself! It's really cool, you can even find music that hasn't been released and mixes that people create themselves. Try it out.
Also instead of just having one song play the whole time on your myspace page you can select multiple songs on project playlist and build a jukebox. Once you do this you have the option to play the songs in order once someone clicks on your page or randomly pick selections from your jukebox so whomever goes to your myspace doesn't have to listen to the same thing everytime.

I noticed that on some MySpace Music accounts, bands have way more than 6 songs. How do upload more than the limit?
You can use The Music Hutch http://www.themusichutch.com/ to upload and search music and then copy the embed code into your myspace profile. You can add unlimited songs to your playlist.

The only reason you see some musicians with more than 6, is because they've entered into a special agreement with Myspace - and they pay money for that privilege.
Usually, you'll only see the big-time artists doing that.

I know nothing about Myspace, but your songs are probably recorded at a high bit rate, thus taking up more disk space. Some people can get 100 songs on an MP3 Player whilst others can get 500. Try this - Resample your songs to 80-90kbs maximum. Use a program like mediaMonkey which is free,

ah chika it's "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down. go to 3 Doors Down's myspace page and they should have that song on there. click on the add button and it'll add it to your profile

well you have to set your profile as an artist and go to host my mp3.com and it will give you the option of uploading your music that is the only way to upload songs that myspace don't have ~~~~Good Luck
yeah yeah... well, you have to know html. b/c in order to do that, you have to get a URL for your song and then put it into html anywhere on your profile and it will play. that's what i did for mine. but, like i'm going to tell you how i got a URL for my songs.... HA!

Well technically due to the rules of Myspace and to prevent piracy, you are not allowed to upload other artist's work BUT to upload a song you must create a new account and make it out to be an music artist. Than you will be given an option to upload the song and give it a name and what not. Than you have to wait a while for it to be in the system than you can go to your main account and add it to your page.
Is it a never-ending list or will it only hold a certain amount, before the earlier ones start to disappear?
im not sure, i change my song about every other day. and since they've had the new song history tracker, it's shown all of my songs that i've put on there.

yeah you can see if they have it, but if they don't, then you can create an artist account and upload the songs you want and put them on your myspace. That's what I did!
well....you would have to go to the music section in myspace and type in alice in chains go to their site.....they should have a player with some tunes on it....hopefully Nut Shell and then beside the name of the song click add it should put it on your page!
go to myspace hit music, type in the artist name and see if they have a profile and if they have to song to add on ur profile good luck!~

search for friends and search alice in chain's and there should be that profile go there and her songs will be up and click add beside the song name
you need to go to myspace music and look for the Alice in Chains music page. Then there should be a music player on the upper right, sometimes left hand side of the page. Then, next to the song title there will be an "add" option. Click on that, and it will be added to your page.
Sure. First Log in to myspace and at the top where it says stuff lke home browse chat etc. It'll say music. click on that and then type in the artist. when you do they should have a homepage with a box that has songs. they will say at the bottom and you add them to your account! good luck!

Click on music in the bar above your page...you know where it says home, browse, etc.. Then type in the band name. It will bring up pages that people have with that bands song on it and then you click on the name to view the page then see if your song is there. If it is then click the add button out to the right of the song. Hope this helps.
first you have to search for the singer name in music category after that you will get different profiles that has the song or singer you are looking for and they they might give you the permission to add the song you like in your profile.
